Carols around the Wards

Well, it has been a busy season for us all at AHC! We have had more events than usual and we have been planning for the whole year.

One the whole, it has definitely been enjoyable and rewarding.  Our numbers have grown through this whole year and the music has been a delight to sing. Derek has regaled us with harmony, rhythm and wise craic.

Thanks to everyone who was able to come to our annual Carols around the wards tonight which was particularly lovely in Ante- and Post-natal wards and Leo’s solo introduction to One in Royal David’s City in Coronary Care reminded us that purity may still just about exist. Thanks also to those who were unable to come tonight, we missed you and you certainly were in our thoughts.

The committee will be meeting in mid-January and we are likely to starting our first rehearsal of the new year on the first Thursday of February, as Derek has other commitments in later January. We have some exciting plans to discuss and agree, some of which are hot of the press after talking to Air Ambulance NI…

I’ve been working on this website for us over the last few weeks. Please do have a peek, but remember that it’s a work in progress. I’ll be seeking a little technical help for this in January and am happy to get feedback and ideas, if not simply some content to add. Feel free, it’s ours! I’ll start to promote properly in January!

Please have a safe, warm and happy Christmas and a wonderful new year!

Neil, Chairman
